Frequently asked questions

Today’s employment market is tough to understand and navigate. As the world of work rapidly evolves, we know that developing a career at pace is time-consuming. People early in the their career often do not have the right exposure to how hiring and developing works and what levers to pull to effectively identify and accomplish their goals. People can feel lost and inefficient.
At LAUNCHPADcouncil, we pull-back the curtain on career development and develop the skills and confidence necessary to take action. These skills are valuable now, and into the future as one’s career progresses.
-
David Gunn and Sarah Weisinger are the Co-founders and Principal Coaches at LAUNCHPADcouncil. Both have exceptional practical knowledge and coaching skills. David and Sarah lead the virtual group workshops and one-on-one Career Discussions.
Our Career Discussions are focused on both developing personal insight and developing clear, prioritized actions to tackle your career goals. For GRADs, we find those goals are around navigating a often confusing job market and how to powerfully differentiate yourself in applying for roles and in developing networks.
We are both candid and supportive. We have your back and our community is core to our mission.
-
In short, we focus on skill development, confidence, and action, while others focus on resumes and job search. We believe one must have one to do the other. As a result, we are comprehensive and better positioned to coach each person.
Our blend of group coaching and personalized one-on-one coaching enables our success.

The two GRADcouncils differ in duration and outcome priorities. Both experiences enable rich personal insight and action-planning different than most career counseling experiences. The 6-week Immersive includes more skill development specific to developing and telling your story, building targeted networks aligned to your goals, and understanding the inside scope of hiring companies.

Community Councils are an integral part of LAUNCHPADcouncil. In addition to group workshops and one-on-one coaching that is experienced in specific cohorts, the LAUNCHPADcouncil team programs ongoing opportunities to hear from experts in a larger “town-hall” environment available to all alumni. Community Council topics range from career roundtables, resume writing, personal financial management, and emerging technologies (just to name a few!). We host 1-2 Community Councils each quarter.
-
We are committed to meeting your goals for LAUNCHPADcouncil. In order to understand your needs, we ask you to share them with us at three moments. The first is in a pre-council questionnaire. The second is in a group discussion in our first council workshop. And, the third opportunity is in the Career Discussions. These insights help our Coaches facilitate the right dialogue in our workshops and private coaching sessions.

We are available to meet to discuss your questions. Please contact us and/or download our brochure for more information. Thank you!
